“Your mission…is to assassinate a man…”
A silence fell over the room. The five nins stared at the Hokage in disbelief.
“Assassinate a man…like…k-kill someone…all five of us…” Kiba said slowly.
“Yes, all five of you.”
“If we need more than five shinobi…” Sakura started, “more than one squad…that means this guy…”
“Yes…He is very dangerous. He has killed a few ANBU, robbed several stores, and possibly kidnapped a girl.”
“Killed some ANBU?” Sasuke thought. “Either this guy is really tough, or our ANBU suck…”
“Why do we have to go after him then? Why don’t you just-” Tsunade cut Kiba off.
“Because you five - well, seven - are all experienced ninjas and all have something to contribute to this. Kiba and Akamaru with their senses, Hinata and Neji with Byakugan, Tenten with weapon skills, Sakura with medical knowledge,  Sasuke with his physical skill and Sharingan, and Naruto with his energy. It’s the perfect team if you allow it to be.”
“Who was kidnapped?” Sakura asked.
“ Possibly kidnapped. He was sighted near the store she works at and she hasn’t been scene for a while.”
“Well, who-”
“The girl from the Ichiraku Ramen shop.”
Naruto’s face turned cold.
“He did what ?” He barred his teeth. “Y-You gotta be kiddin’ me!!”
“Naruto, it’s possibly. She may have just left the village for a few days. Someone only pointed out that she had been absent, so we assume the worst-”
“I’m gonna kick his ass so hard, it’s gonna leave a mark on his face!!”
As the nins wondered how Naruto could do that, (well, it was Naruto after all…) the boy in question stomped up to the 5th’s desk. “When do we leave?!”
“In a few days…” she replied slowly. “We’re still gathering information to-”
“No! We need to leave now!! We need to-”
“Naruto! Going now could get you killed!”
“But she-”
“You don’t even know if Ayame is missing or not!! That’s why we need to wait and gather more information! That’s final!!”
The blonde snarled and stormed out of the room, shortly followed by the other ninjas.

“Naruto.” Sakura called, Hinata by her side. Now outside the office and on the street, Naruto only stood with his hands in fists at his sides. “Maybe you should go to Ichiraku’s and see if she’s-”
“I will.” He barked coldly. “But if she is missing….she’s not only a friend of mine…she’s also a person. No person should be away from those they care about…”
“Naruto…” Hinata felt the familiar bubbly feeling in her stomach. At that moment she just wanted so badly to just…hug him…
“Wow Naruto, that sounded deep,” Kiba said from behind the blonde. He went to punch the boy-boy in the stomach, but he simply jumped back.
“Naruto. You’re over-reacting. Just go check on her.” a voice said from behind Sakura. The girl tensed up and melted at the same time.
“Ugh! Shut up, Sasuke!!” Naruto yelled. “Why do you always think you’re so awesome? ‘Cause you’re not! You better not be the mission leader! That would be-”
“Dobe! I don’t get to choose if I’m leader or not. And besides…”
The ninjas continued to argue as the girls just watched.
“Tsunade only chose us on our skills…I don’t think she even thought about who we were…” Hinata said with a smile.
Sakura laughed. “This is gonna be one long mission…” She looked at the guys in front of her again. “Well, at least I get to be with Sasuke!” she giggled.
Hinata smiled softly.
