“Ah, Grandma-Tsunade!! You gotta be kiddin’ me!! Not another boring mission!!”
Hinata, along with the other ten ninjas, sighed at the blondes attempt to argue with the Hokage once more. He didn’t even know what the mission was yet, and he was already complaining it would be boring.
“Naruto…” The 5th groaned from behind her desk, “We’ve been over this…A mission is a mission and-”
“Well, I don’t want another dumb mission! All of the missions lately have been so…lame!!” He spun on his heel, and began to walk toward the door. “Just training would get me to Hokage faster…”
“Hokage, Hokage…” Tsunade sighed. She rolled her eyes with a small smile. “Well, wouldn’t doing missions look better on a record than just throwing kunais all day? And turning down an easy mission? Let alone for a stupid reason…?”
And being the predictable oaf he was, Naruto went straight back to the Lady’s desk, saying he had been planning on doing it the entire time and how he was just pulling her leg.
The nins all mentally groaned in unison, mumbling amongst each other.
“Predictable…”
“She really got him that time…”
“Oh, Naruto…”
“…dumbass…”

“Alright!” Tsunade stood and looked at the line of ninjas before her desk. Squad seven, eight, ten, and Gai. “Step back if you already have a mission assigned to you.”
Lee, Shino, and all of team ten stepped back, leaving Kiba, Hinata, Neji, Tenten, Sasuke, Sakura, and Naruto.
“You five may leave;”
They did so.
“Let’s see here…” The fifth Hokage sat back down at her desk, unrolling a scroll and beginning to read it, glancing up ever now and then. “Neji and Tenten…you two will be on a side mission during this…You’ll still be a part of it, but you’ll have to go on your own about halfway through…the mission is in a few days…I’ll give you two the entire briefing then; I won‘t bother giving the details now…”
Glancing at each other, the brunettes left the room.
“So…you five…” Tsunade looked at Naruto when she spoke, knowing what was coming. “Will be working together.”
The raven haired girls heart soared. She pointed her fingers together nervously, trying to hide her smile behind them.
“I’m not working with that teme!”
“Naruto…” The Hokage held up ten fingers. “You have ten seconds to get all you’re whining about working with Sasuke out of the way now. Go.”
“I shouldn’t have to work-” 9 “-with him! I’m so much-” 8 “-more awesome than he is-”   7 “-why should I have to-” 6 “-work with a slug like-” 5 “-Sasuke?! I mean, he’s so-” 4 “-annoying; never talking or-” 3 “-anything…always acting-” 2 “-so amazing and stuff! It’s-” 1 -just not right! Believe it!!”
“Okay, your done.”
“But-”
“Hush.”
Kiba rolled his eyes. Oh, this is gonna be a fun mission…
“Your mission…”
“Is something dumb.” Naruto stated blankly.
“No… your mission…is to assassinate a man…”
